Canada Day

      What is there to say?
      When morrow meets the man
      Nothing is the day
How could there be a way
      To celebrate the land?

      Is daylight and the year
      Forever going to bring
      Balanced gifts of cheer
      Allowing guests to sing
Is it all we want to hear?

      [The weather is no wiser
      Clouds have gone away
      A 1960 Chrysler
      Screams rubber shouts ole]

      The day is Summer One
A place is on the mind
      Games are fun till done
      Could it be who won
      The balls we'll never find?

      A walk is quite around
      To search the ice-cream van
      Ear drops to the ground
      To find the music sound
Of Mr. Frosty ice cream man

      Come and go party girls
From here to there the beach
      Flags and sails unfurl
      Surfer boys eyeing curls
      Better curves out of reach

      Our rented car is maxing
With gas and ass and wine
      Needing just a little waxing
      Before avoiding the hot taxing
To head south below the line

      Was it better last
Or will it be next year?
Let's hold onto the good cheer
      And belay the little fear
      Salute the flag Full Mast!
